Our Story
Surrounded by vineyards in the rolling countryside of Alenquer, merely 30 minutes from Lisbon airport, lies an ancient Quinta filled with mystery and charm.
About Us
Quinta das Antas traces its roots back till at least the early 1700s. Local myth says that it was an ancient Celtic ritual site, owing to the 'Antas' (portuguese for megalithic dolmens) found on site. The Quinta has seen earthquakes, revolutions, Napoleon's invasion and much more.
Still, the old walls and ancient trees exude peace in the marvellous evening light - Antas is a space out of time. We feel so priviledged to take Quinta das Antas into the 21st century. As in Quinta de Sant'Ana, where our family grew up, we value the history that grounds us, the land which sustains us, the beauty that inspires and the local community which welcomes our family.

Our Approach
We value tradition, the beauty of the landscape and the cultural heritage. But we also want to innovate - what is life if not a balancing act? Becoming stewards of such a special place, the emphasis lies in preserving what is here, and building upon the legacy of the 1000s of people who have passed through these gates over the past three centuries.
Most of all, we are a family. When we say sustainable, we mean it! Our children should inherit a healthy, happy ecosystem.
